Pet Rarity Tiers in Grow a Garden: Common to Prismatic (2026)
Understanding pet rarity tiers is essential for every Grow a Garden trader. Rarity determines a pet's base value, how hard it is to obtain, and what kinds of trades it can participate in. This guide covers every confirmed rarity tier using pets that actually exist in the game.
Common Pets
Common pets are the most frequently encountered pets in Grow a Garden. They have base values around 100 Sheckles. Confirmed Common pets include the Dog, Cat, and Bee. While individually low in value, they are the foundation of every trader's journey — useful for balancing value differences in multi-item trades. Most importantly, a mutated Common pet (especially a Shocked one at 100x) can reach 10,000 Sheckles or more, putting it above many base Legendary pets. Never dismiss a Common without checking for mutations first.
Uncommon Pets
Uncommon pets take a meaningful step up in rarity. With approximate base values of 300–400 Sheckles, confirmed Uncommon pets include the Golden Lab (~400 S) and the Rabbit (~300 S). They work well as filler in mid-tier trades and are the first milestone for players building toward a Rare collection. A mutated Uncommon — particularly one with a Golden (20x) or Rainbow (50x) mutation — punches well above its base rarity in trade value.
Rare Pets
Rare pets are where trading starts to get serious. With approximate base values of 800–950 Sheckles, confirmed Rare pets include the Orange Tabby (~800 S), Hedgehog (~900 S), and Sea Turtle (~950 S). A Rare pet with a Golden mutation (20x) enters the 16,000–19,000 S range — overlapping with lower Legendary base values. Weight matters significantly at this tier. Always verify both weight and mutations before agreeing to a trade.
Legendary Pets
Legendary pets are high-value anchors in any serious trade. Confirmed Legendary pets include the Disco Bee (~5,000 S) and the Butterfly (~8,000 S). A Legendary with a Golden mutation (20x) enters the 100,000–160,000 S range — one of the most consequential jumps in the game. Legendary pets are rarely traded one-for-one at lower-tier equivalents. Always use the W/F/L calculator to verify both sides before committing.
Mythical Pets
Mythical is a confirmed rarity tier sitting between Legendary and Divine. Confirmed Mythical pets include Moth (~6,000 S), Wasp (~8,000 S), and Big Wasp (~12,000 S). The Mythical tier was added in game updates and provides a meaningful value step between top-end Legendary pets (up to ~8,000 S) and entry-level Divine pets (25,000 S+). A mutated Mythical pet — particularly a Shocked or Voidtouched one — can rival base Divine values. Use our W/F/L calculator before any Mythical trade.
Divine Pets
Divine pets carry approximate base values of 25,000–110,000 Sheckles. Confirmed Divine pets include the Spinosaurus (~110,000 S), Mimic Octopus (~90,000 S), Empress Bee (~85,000 S), Raccoon (~80,000 S), T-Rex (~80,000 S), Dragonfly (~75,000 S), Space Squirrel (~70,000 S), Fennec Fox (~65,000 S), King Bee (~30,000 S), and Queen Bee (~25,000 S post-Bizzy Bee event). Note that Queen Bee's value dropped after the Bizzy Bee event made her obtainable from Bee Eggs, while King Bee and Empress Bee were newly introduced in the same event (with Empress Bee being the rarest at a 0.5% hatch rate). Following updates, the Bizzy Bee system is now a permanent game feature toggled via the in-game mailbox. Spinosaurus and T-Rex are premium prehistoric-themed mutation-manipulators. Trades at this tier require patience, number verification, and ideally a trusted middleman.
Prismatic Pets
Prismatic is the highest rarity tier in Grow a Garden. Confirmed Prismatic pets include the Kitsune (~500,000 S), the Corrupted Kitsune (~550,000 S), and the newly released Fire Wisp (~400,000 S) from the June 2026 Campfire Update. The Kitsune is a Tier 0 pet known for raising plant value by up to 90x, making it prized both for trading and in-game farming. The Corrupted Kitsune is considered the rarest overall pet in the game. The Fire Wisp is the newest Prismatic pet — its "Heart of Fire" ability applies the Ember mutation to pets, providing a 32% passive boost and 32% XP boost, currently the best single pet mutation effect in the game. It is hatchable from the Campfire Egg at a 0.5% rate. Trades involving Prismatic pets are rare community events — document everything and never rush.
How Rarity Affects Trading Strategy
Match your strategy to your current tier. Build Common and Uncommon value to break into Rare, then work toward Legendary. Never trade a higher-rarity pet for multiple lower-rarity ones without running the numbers — a single mutation can make a lower-rarity item worth far more than its rarity suggests. Rarity is a starting point, not a conclusion. Use our W/F/L calculator to make sure the math works.
